Notes of Interest
Hyak Motorsports launches the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season at one of the sport’s most storied short tracks with the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium. The non-points race brings the Cup Series back to its grassroots racing and serves as an early benchmark for teams entering the new season. The event also marks a milestone moment for Hyak Motorsports, as Chef Boyardee debuts as the team’s primary sponsor for the first time.
The first time partnership with Chef Boyardee places a recognizable, fan-friendly brand at the center of NASCAR’s season-opening spotlight. “Bowman Gray is pure grassroots racing, and that’s what makes it so cool. It’s physical, it’s intense, and the fans are right on top of you,” said Stenhouse. “We’ve had a really productive offseason, and having Chef Boyardee on the car is a great way to kick things off.”
Hyak Motorsports is focused on making it into the race on Sunday night and surviving the heat races since Bowman Gray is such a tight track.
Fans can tune in to FOX this Sunday, February 1, at 8pm ET to watch all the action at the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium. Be sure to follow Hyak Motorsports on social media for live race updates, track content, and exclusive looks at the No. 47 Chef Boyardee Chevrolet.
