The team is owned by Gordon Smith, Mark Hughes, NASCAR professional Ernie Cope along with former NBA All-Star center Brad Daugherty. The team currently has a technical alliance with Hendrick Motorsports and is housed in a 130,000 square foot facility in Harrisburg, NC. Hyak currently fields the No. 47 Chevrolet full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series with driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
